Here, we explore the Economic Diversity in States of India from the Socio-Economic and Caste Census (SECC) - 2011 data. Scroll down to see the observations emerged from SECC data.

Though, we may think, irrigation equipments would be higher in households owning irrigated land. There are numerous exceptions across the curve. Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand seem to have lesser equipments compared to land they own. However, the situation seems opposite in Daman & Diu, Lakshadweep, NCT of Delhi

Sadly, North-Eastern states and western coastal region of India have lesser irrigation equipments compared to their counterparts.

The belt of Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Madhya Pradesh seems to have the lowest of penetration with Mobile Phone.

Majority of states tend to own mobile only if the household has any phone. Exceptions being states which have higher average income, like Lakshadweep, Goa, Himachal Pradesh and NCT of Delhi.

Expectedly, households with lower income tend to not have refrigerator. However, Kerala and Punjab, seems to own more refrigerators than usual trend. Whereas, Andaman & Nicobar and Daman & Diu seem to own fewer refrigerators than the expected trend.

On the other side, households with higher income generally owns a refrigerator. Moving away from the usual trend are Punjab and Kerala, owning more refrigerators to their income.

States with higher jobs in Private sector have far fewer salaried jobs in government sector. Interestingly, smaller territories like, Daman & Diu, NCT of Delhi, Chandigarh, Goa and Dadara & Nagar Havelli have much higher % of jobs in Private sector.

Households with higher (%) of non-agricultural enterprises registered with government also tend to more jobs in Public sector, and they go in proportion with jobs in Private sector.
