You should've seen the reaction on the faces of those kids when AB de Villiers got out on 99. Their hero had missed his hundred ! For the UAE though it was pure relief - he hadn't done to them what he did to the Windies. If AB had been around in the death overs South Africa would have surely reached 400. Behardien's 64 * (31) big hits in the last over helped South Africa reach 341 & for the UAE Mohammad Tauqir deserves praise for his economical 10-0-47-1. The point of concern for South Africa would be Quentin de Kock's poor form with the bat who labored to 26 in 45 balls & it will be interesting to see if they stick with him for the Quarter Finals.
When the UAE openers were beginning to get comfortable with Steyn & Philander, AB brought in Morkel & then the wickets tumbled. Morkel was fast & accurate and that is a deadly combination. Shaiman Anwar 39 (64) again showed some class during the time he was at the crease and Swapnil Patel 57 (100) hit a fifty that he will never forget all his life. The Proteas haven't looked troubled batting first but come the Quarter Finals they need to have some nerves of steel. Sigh!
