- The group of goalkeepers of 29 out of 32 teams were the tallest, the 3 exceptions being Honduras, Mexico & Nigeria where the defenders were the tallest in their teams.
- Defenders are generally tall but the defenders of France, Ivory Coast & Paraguay were the shortest in their teams.
- Forwards of Argentina, Chile, Japan & North Korea were shorter than their midfielders.
- Midfielders of 25 teams were the shortest in their teams except for 3 South American teams (Argentina, Chile & Paraguay), 2 Asian teams (Japan, North Korea), 1 African team (Ivory Coast) & 1 European team(France)
